Composition Lessons

Music Composition lessons by Jon Steinmeier can be very broad, or very specific, depending

on the students interest and goals.

Elements of study include chordal analysis, ear training, form study, melody writing,

and harmony study.

Songwriting, four part choral writing, atonal 12 tone writing, counterpoint, and arranging

are some topics of study, all rooted in basic or complex music theory.

Also, writing for specific instruments and ensembles is offered,

including arrangement and voicing issues.

All lessons by Jon Steinmeier are geared toward the students specific goals,

and are taught at the student's pace.
